Barefoot Beach Soccer matches are 5 v 5 (7 v 7 for the 10 & under age group) small sided soccer games played on the deep white sand combining the best of the beautiful game, gymnastic gyrations and high flying acrobatic kicks, incredible offensive displays, exceptional goal keeping and the abundant sunshine, cool breezes, swimsuits, waves, and ocean vistas of the Jersey Shore! With the sport having originated on the Ipanema and Copacabana beaches of Brazil, the inherent appeal of the Brazilian, Californian, and Jersey Shore beach atmospheres play a significant role in the recent astronomical growth of the game. As they say, "Life's a Beach!"

Our current plan calls for Pro/Am Tournament Play on the weekends and Amateur League Play on weeknights at convenient beaches.

  • Some changes have recently been made to the Barefoot Beach Soccer Rules due to player feedback and in an effort to provide greater conformance with generally accepted procedures from FIFA and other beach Soccer Organizations.

    1. Field Size has been increased to 75' x 115' or 25 yards x 35 yards
    2. Team size for the 11 and 12 year olds has been changed to 5 players rather than the original 7 players, ages 10 and under is still 7 v 7
    3. Penalty Kicks at the end of regulation to determine a winner in a game with a tied score will now be "sudden death" single elimination, rather than the originally proposed round of 3 alternating kicks followed by single elimination.
